Kuo Yu-Hsuan
Objectives:
My short-term goal is to win international competitions, and be a solo flutist in a excellent professional orchestra. To
share my passion through the music and artistic projects.
In the long-term, I would like to make classical music heard differently by combining other senses than the sound and
view, opening classical music to a wider audience. Another aspect very important to me is to give charity concerts in
support of the victims of diseases and cancers, to move in the hospitals to make them discover this universe.
• Training, Diploma:
2009-2010: First unanimously prize at CRR of Rueil-Malmaison in France
2010-2011: Unanimously prize of excellence with the congratulations of the jury
First unanimously prize in chamber music

2011-2012: Unanimously prize of virtuosity with the congratulations of the jury at CRR Rueil-Malmaison
2012-2014: Bachelor at Haute Ecole de Musique de Lausanne
2014-2016: Master Interpretation Concert at Haute Ecole de Musique Lausanne in Switzerland
2016- now: 2nd Master Performance Soloist at Hochschule Luzern in Switzerland
• Experiences, Concerts, Competitions:
In 2007, received the first prize (flute) of Yunlin county in Taiwan
In 2008, played as soloist the Reinecke concerto with school’s orchestra in Taiwan
In 2009, received the first prize (flute) of Taipei city in Taiwan
In 2014, played in orchestra at the Luna Classics Festival under the direction of Paul Meyer and Gautier Capuçon
In 2015, played the trio Debussy at the Swiss Embassy in Singapore, in the Orchestra of the Continents at the Paléo
Festival and at the Singapore Esplanade under the direction of Thierry Fischer
In 2016, received the 2nd prize at the CNEM of Riddes in Switzerland as well as the 1st Award of Cultural Art in
music of Yunlin county In Taiwan, and was invited to perform in China at Guangzhou
In 2017, member of the Contemporary Ensemble Diachronie, realised my concert projets as « Wine tasting & music »,
« Spicy tales & music » in the Cercle Littéraire de Lausanne, played in the vernissage « Naked Landscape » of Gerard
Testa, improvisation with the inspirations from the paintings in the Foundation Estrée in Switzerland, was selected by
competition in International Chamber Philharmonic Orchestra in Lugano, won 2nd prize (1st prize not awarded) and
also the Special Prize to play with The State Philharmonic of Sibiu in 16th International Competition of Gheorghe
Dima in Romania
Perform regularly in Taiwan like at Taiwan National Recital Hall, Taipei KHS Piano Hall, Cultural House of Yunlin
county as well as Cultural House of Chiayi City. Also in different churches in Switzerland as Crissier, Belmont, Prilly and
the temple of Broye.
I continue my musical path and learn with the great flutists in the world like Benoît Fromanger, Amy Porter, Harrie
Starreveld, Claude Lefebvre, Michel Moraguès, Vincent Lucas, Davide Formisano, Félix Renggli, Patrice Bocquillon,
Bernard de Vienne, Philippe Bernold, Emily Beynon, Silvia Careddu, Karl-Heinz Schütz and Barthold Kuijken.
